Digital

Since the early nineties, a growing sector of global print production has been Digital, as distinguished from sheetfed print. Digital print is used by those requiring the following:

• Short to medium run colour and black & white/mono work
• Fast turnaround work
• Personalisation (As the image is reproduced each time, variations can be easily introduced) - used often in direct mail
• Print on Demand (ie. with an automated ordering system)

The advantage over sheetfed for short run work is that no printing plates are needed therefore reducing the initial set-up costs substantially. Digital presses also come in large-format, and are used for the manufacture of large-scale posters, point-of-sale, banners, etc.

Over the last few years much of our success has been in placing high-calibre candidates within the digital print sector.
